Weezer, Airbourne To Play Sonisphere Festival 2011


It has been announced that Weezer and Airbourne will play this year's Sonisphere festival in Knebworth.

At the festival along with Architects,both bands will make exclusive appearance.

Biffy Clyro, Slipknot and the Big Four - Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax will be headlining the tour at the festival which runs from July 8-10.

Other acts on the bill include Motorhead and Mastodon.

More Bands Confirmed for Sonisphere 2011

For Sonisphere Festival 2011 more band has confirmed there participation for Knebworth this summer.On Monday, Motorhead, Mastodon, In Flames and Parkway Drive were all added to the line up.

It would be a three days festival,this hard rock festival will take place in the Hertfordshire stately home’s grounds starting July 8.

Some other bigs name which are already confirmed for Sonisphere Festival include Metallica, Biffy Clyro, and Slipknot.

It would be Motorhead’s debut appearance at Sonisphere Knebworth.Fans can enjoy the songs from their latest released album,The World is Yours, at the festival.

Mastodon has been to this event in the past. In fact, Mastodon played the Saturn stage at the inaugural Sonisphere two years ago and will return this July

Buckcherry confirm Download and Sonisphere festival


Participation in Sonisphere and Download festivals in the UK this summer have been confirmed by Buckcherry.

Xavier Muriel,the band drummer have confirmed this news speaking to magazine.He said that band is planning to do their own UK tour," "We're back in the UK in June for Download and Sonisphere and I think we'll do a club tour while we're back here," he said.

'All Night Long',the fifth album by band had been released in August and completed a UK tour in December alongside Disturbed and Papa Roach.

Metallica set for Sonisphere 2011


Sonisphere 2011 will going to take place in July and Metallica are set to perform in the festival.

Metallica has recently concluded their mammoth two-year Magnetic worldwide tour and now planning to headlining the Sonisphere festival alongside Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax - collectively known as the 'big four'.


Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich said: "I am beyond psyched that the first 'big four' show in Western Europe will take place on the hallowed grounds of Knebworth, where so many unique and special gigs have happened over the years - there is simply no better venue for a European round two of the big four!!

American heavy metal band Metallica perform Sonisphere Festival for upcoming July.

Sonisphere Festival: Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax are including

Next year Meatllica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax are set to Sonisphere festival.

The Big Four bands will top bill on the opening day from July 8-10 at Knebworth. It will mark the first time have brought their show to the UK.

Metallica's member Lars Ulrich said, “Put your dancing shoes on, this is gonna be fun”.

Slayer’s Kerry King added: “Now England is in line to be devastated by this heavy metal powerhouse! Can’t F*cking wait!!!”

Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax were connected the last announced headliners Biffy Clyro and Slipknot.

Biffy Clyro To Play Sonisphere Festival 2011


It has been announced that Biffy Clyro band will be headlining for the upcoming Sonisphere Festival 2011. They will be joined by the previously announced headliners Slipknot at the event, which will take place earlier than normal from July 8-10, 2011.

Part of a European tour,Slipknot's appearance will mark one of the band’s first performances following the death of founding member Paul Gray earlier this year.

“This tour is about us and our fans,” Slipknot said in a statement.

“It’s about celebrating the life of our brother, Paul and his legacy. The door is neither open nor closed. This tour is about burning down that door.”
