Sonisphere Festival Traffic measures

DRIVERS are being made aware of traffic measures set to be introduced for the forthcoming Sonsiphere festival in Knebworth.
A Highways Agency spokesman said there will be closures of northbound entry slip road and southbound exit slip road at junction 7 of the A1 (M) during the event.
These closures will come into effect from 12pm on Friday July 30 and be in place until 12pm on Monday August 2. A clearly signed diversion will be in place.
These measures are meant to assist pedestrian access across the bridge at junction 7 for those attending the festival.
Traffic seeking to join the A1 (M) northbound at junction 7 will be diverted to junction 8 via the A602 Broadhall Way, A1072 Gunnels Wood Road and A602 Hitchin Road.
Southbound road users wishing to exit at junction 7 should follow the same route in reverse .

Sonisphere Festival Camping

The space in Sonisphere festival has more than enough for everyone on site. That makes it as big as Donington Park or the sites for Reading and Leeds Festivals. particulars about the special Campsites will be coming here soon.

Family Camping

We will have a Family and Quiet Camping areas to allow those attending Sonisphere to find some respite from the excited partying going on somewhere else. However, you will need to book a divide pass for the Family Camping area.

Gas Canisters

We have determined to ban Gas Canisters from the outset, the extensive abuse of Gas Canisters at almost every major rock festival means we have decided to start Sonisphere without them. As an alternative you can use mini, disposable, or hexi BBQs or we will have a BBQ area with some big solid BBQs so everyone can cook up together.

Tents

You should actually only bring a Tent the size of the people camping in it. Ie not 2 people in a 8 person tent.
